Note: SONE® carpet tiles are thicker carpet tiles
SONE® carpet tiles with integrated insulation are thicker (approx. 9 mm) than carpet tiles with a standard backing. These usually range between 5 and 7 mm thick. Keep this in mind when installing or combining carpet tiles. Because of the additional insulation, these acoustic carpet tiles are not suitable for underfloor heating.
Advantages of an integrated SONE® backing
- Superior soundproofing: reduces impact noise by up to 33 dB (standard backing: 14–28 dB), creating a quieter and more comfortable space.
- Excellent thermal insulation: provides extra warmth and comfort during the colder months.
- High walking comfort: the thicker backing feels soft, warm and pleasant underfoot.
The Equal Measure collection
The Equal Measure collection is inspired by the paving stones that shape streets around the world. It combines the rugged, irregular charm of an old street with the luxurious softness of modern carpet tiles. Designed with a subtle and balanced colour palette, it brings calm and harmony to contemporary interiors.
The Equal Measure carpet tile collection consists of three complementary series: EM551, EM552 and EM553. Each can be used independently or combined seamlessly with the others to create unique floor designs.
Each series in the Equal Measure collection has its own character:
- EM551: a simple, low construction with the look of a coarse woven textile.
- EM553: a rich geometric pattern reminiscent of traditional paving stones.
- EM552: blends the textures of the other two, creating smooth transitions and natural visual flow.
The 25 x 100 cm “skinny plank” format suits this design perfectly and can be installed in herringbone or ashlar patterns to achieve different contemporary looks.
