Note: SONE® carpet tiles are thicker carpet tiles
SONE® carpet tiles are thicker (+/- 9mm) due to the additional insulation layer compared to carpet tiles with a standard backing. These usually range from 5 to 7 mm thick. Keep this in mind when installing or combining carpet tiles.
Due to the extra insulation, these tiles are NOT suitable for underfloor heating.
Advantages of an integrated SONE® backing:
• Superior soundproofing: Reduces impact sound by up to 33 dB (standard backing reduces impact sound by 14-28 dB), creating a quieter environment.
• Excellent thermal insulation: Provides extra comfort in the winter.
